Overview
Todd Demetriades is Special Counsel in Ball Janik’s Construction Defect practice group in Orlando, Florida. He is an experienced lawyer with over 25 years of experience in handling large-scale residential and commercial construction defect cases.
Todd has represented a wide range of clients, including homeowner and condominium associations, residential and commercial property owners, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, municipalities, large governmental defense contractors, and universities. He has practiced in both state and federal courts at the trial and appellate level, and has also assisted numerous clients in private arbitrations and mediations.
Before joining Ball Janik, Todd was a partner at a Central Florida law firm specializing in all matters of construction law, including defect claims, construction lien and bond disputes, delay claims, as well as contract review and drafting. Later, he joined a boutique firm as a partner to focus exclusively on construction defect matters, contributing to the team’s successful efforts in recovering millions of dollars for their clients.
Todd has served on the Civil Rules of Procedure Committee of the Florida Bar and the subcommittee on Electronic Discovery. He is also a member of the Business Law and Trial Lawyer sections of the Florida Bar.
