Overview
Susan Poitras is a paralegal in Ball Janik LLP’s Construction Defect practice group. Based in the firm’s Orlando office, she joined Ball Janik in 2016. Ms. Poitras assists in litigating construction defect claims for townhome and condominium communities and owners.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Poitras worked for 28 years as an insurance defense paralegal for two different international law firms. Her career began in Boston, Massachusetts, where she worked on one of the country’s largest reinsurance cases. She was the lead paralegal at trial which was a six-week bench trial in Federal Court. Ms. Poitras has also worked on numerous large product liability, medical malpractice, and other general liability matters, including being the lead paralegal representing one of the area’s largest theme parks.
In her free time, Ms. Poitras enjoys spending time at the beach and taking road trips.
