A news item published on 12/12 in the Orlando Sentinel’s “People on the Move” section spotlighted firm attorneys Blake Konkol and Leah Golbuff.
“As our firm broadens our practice in areas such as construction defect litigation and insurance matters, we continue to add to our headcount and provide our clients with added resources,” said James C. Prichard, Ball Janik Managing Partner. “We welcome Leah and Blake to our Orlando team and congratulate them for recently passing the Bar.”
Konkol works with HOAs and property owners on construction defect proceedings. His earlier work entailed assignments at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Allegheny County and Centre County Offices of the District Attorneys. Konkol earned his law degree at Penn State.
Golbuff’s insurance work entails coverage litigation for businesses and individual policyholders. She has previous injury recovery and insurance experience, working at various firms in Orlando. She also worked for the United States Marshal Service, analyzing criminal case data and incoming threats.
“Because the pace of new housing in Central Florida continues to increase, we must be ready to handle a higher number of cases surrounding construction flaws than ever before,” said Konkol. “It is an honor to be a part of Ball Janik’s respected construction defects team, and I look forward to many productive years together.”
“I am thrilled to be working with a very talented team on insurance recovery and resolving other matters in Central Florida and across the state,” said Golbuff. “Ball Janik is an industry leader in standing up for policyholder rights and achieving just outcomes for our clients.”
