An article published on 8/15 in Law360 announced Ball Janik LLP’s growth in the Orlando office with the addition of Construction Defect Attorney Todd Demetriades as special counsel. With over 25 years of legal experience prosecuting large-scale residential and commercial claims, Demetriades specializes in construction liens, bond disputes, delay claims, and contract review and drafting. Demetriades represents clients in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate level and in private arbitration and mediation.
“We are pleased to welcome Todd to our Orlando office as our footprint in Florida continues to expand,” said James C. Prichard, Managing Partner at Ball Janik. “His depth of construction defect experience serves as a great addition to the exceptional legal services our clients deserve.”
Demetriades earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University. He is a member of the Florida Bar’s Business Law and Trial Lawyer Sections.
“Ball Janik is a great firm. It’s got a great reputation and a lot of good lawyers, so I’m really happy to make the move,” Demetriades said.
His practice is fueled by new construction in Florida in response to the state’s growth. That means there can be a tendency for builders to cut corners, Demetriades said.
