Adele J. Ridenour has joined Ball Janik LLP’s Portland office as an associate. Her practice focuses on construction law and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Ball Janik LLP, Ms. Ridenour was an associate at another Portland area law firm where she focused on representing single family homeowners, condominium and townhome associations, and commercial owners in construction defect related disputes. A graduate of Gonzaga University (B.A., cum laude, Political Science) in 2001, she received her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2004. While in law school, she was the managing editor for the Oregon Review of International Law.
After law school, Ms. Ridenour was a judicial clerk to the former Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court, the Honorable Gerald Schroeder. As a judicial clerk, Ms. Ridenour was responsible for reviewing and analyzing both criminal and civil matters for the Idaho Supreme Court.
Ms. Ridenour is the current treasurer of the University of Oregon School of Law Alumni Association and co-chair of the alumni association’s Portland Mentoring Committee. In addition to her alumni board duties, Ms. Ridenour is a part-time adjunct professor for the University of Oregon School of Law where she co-teaches a course on Green Construction Law. Ms. Ridenour is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington.
