Jack Orchard is a partner in Ball Janik LLP's Portland office. His principal areas of practice are transactional real estate, real estate development, and land use law.
Mr. Orchard has represented clients in numerous major real estate development projects. He has argued cases before the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals and Oregon Court of Appeals and has represented clients before virtually every metropolitan Portland government agency.
Mr. Orchard is active in local and regional economic development matters. He is Secretary of the Westside Economic Alliance and is a member of the Multnomah Washington-County Regional Investment Board.
A graduate of Washington State University (B.A., with Distinction, 1969), Mr. Orchard earned his J.D. degree (Order of the Coif) in 1972 from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he was an editor of the Oregon Law Review.
Mr. Orchard is admitted to practice in Oregon, the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
