Mathew W. Lauritsen joined Ball Janik LLP as an associate in 2008. His principal areas of practice are in real estate, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights.

Mr. Lauritsen graduated from Hampshire College in 1999, having studied philosophy and literature. In 2008, Mr. Lauritsen received his J.D. degree from the University of Washington School of Law, where he was an active member of the Student Bar Association and represented UW Law at the ABA National Conference. He was a member of the UW Mediation Clinic under Professor Alan Kirtley, working to resolve disputes originating with the EEOC, handling small claims disputes and assisting local legal services organizations. Mr. Lauritsen was a summer extern for the Honorable Eric J. Bloch, Circuit Court Judge for Multnomah County in 2006 and a summer associate at Ball Janik in 2007.

Mr. Lauritsen is admitted to practice law in Oregon.
