Hope S. Whitney joined Ball Janik in 2007, having practiced law at a well-known San Francisco, California, law firm. Her principal area of practice is transactional real estate.

Ms. Whitney graduated from Amherst College (B.A., Political Science, magna cum laude, 1995). Prior to law school, she worked for U.S. Senator Ron Wyden in the United States Senate (1996-1997).

A graduate of the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law, she received her J.D. in 2002, Order of the Coif. Ms. Whitney was Articles Editor for the Ecology Law Quarterly, and received the Harmon Prize in Environmental Law. During law school, she earned a Masters’ Degree in City Planning (2002) from the University of California’s College of Environmental Design. From 2002-2003, Ms. Whitney clerked for Chief Judge Ancer L. Haggerty of the U.S. District Court (District of Oregon).

Ms. Whitney is admitted to practice law in Oregon and California.
