David Criswell joined Ball Janik LLP in 1992 after practicing for three years in Chicago. His principal areas of practice are business bankruptcy, corporate restructuring, loan workouts, insolvency and real estate. He has represented debtors-in-possession, secured lenders and purchasers in complex Chapter 11 cases and also has represented lenders and borrowers in out-of-court loan restructurings. David represents a number of community and regional banks in loan recoveries and loan documentation. David also has a real estate practice with an emphasis on condominium documentation and real property financing.

A graduate of Dartmouth College (B.A. 1986), Mr. Criswell earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, in 1989 from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is admitted to practice in Oregon, the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, Washington, and the U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington.
