Justin D. Leonard, an associate with Ball Janik LLP, was recently selected as a Fellow for the 2008 Oregon State Bar Leadership College. The OSB Leadership College, now in its third year, is a one-year program aimed at preparing emerging leaders in the legal community for future leadership opportunities within the bar and their communities. Fellows in the College receive leadership training from current bar leaders and members of the judiciary in exchange for agreeing to commit to volunteering as leaders.
Justin D. Leonard focuses his practice in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, with particular expertise in insurance insolvency and insurance guaranty association law. Mr. Leonard received his J.D. degree in 2003 from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College and joined Ball Janik LLP in 2005. Mr. Leonard serves on the Board of Directors for the MBA Young Lawyers Section, is a Governor-appointed public/consumer commissioner on the Oregon Health Resources Commission, and is an elected representative on the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates. He also volunteers his time with the Legal Aid of Oregon Pro Bono Bankruptcy Clinic.
