Ciaran P. A. Connelly Joins Ball Janik LLP as Litigation Associate


Ball Janik LLP announced today that Ciaran P. A. Connelly has joined the firm’s Portland office as an Associate in the Litigation practice group.

Mr. Connelly is a business and trial attorney with broad experience in business and commercial litigation. As an associate with two prominent New York law firms, Mr. Connelly handled diverse matters ranging from complex commercial lease and contract disputes to mass-tort and insurance disputes, to regulatory and compliance investigation and defense.

Prior to joining Ball Janik LLP, Mr. Connelly was an associate with Grais & Ellsworth LLP, a boutique New York City law firm, where his practice focused on private label mortgage-backed securities litigation. From 2004 to 2009, he was an associate with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, an internationally recognized law firm, where his work focused on securities and complex commercial litigation, white collar criminal cases, and regulatory investigations.

Mr. Connelly received his J.D. in 2004, graduating first in class from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. He was recognized with the Order of the Coif and the S.J. Quinney Merit Scholarship. He was a member of the Utah Law Review and National Moot Court Team, and was chosen as the College’s William H. Leary Scholar. Mr. Connelly earned his A.B. in philosophy and government from Dartmouth College in 1999.
