Condemnation Stopped

Clients recently acquired 140-acre tract was entirely condemned by the City of Forest Grove, Oregon for use as a park and open space. A trial team led by Jack Orchard convinced the trial judge that the condemnation proceeding should be halted and the taking voided because it lacked a requisite public purpose. In terminating the case, the judge awarded the clients their attorney fees relating to the entire eminent domain process.
