Adele Ridenour joined Ball Janik LLP’s Portland office in 2010. Her practice focuses on construction law and commercial litigation. She has developed significant experience litigating construction defect cases involving complex commercial projects, condominiums, warehouses and hotels. She has also successfully represented commercial and individual property owners, and homeowners’ associations in insurance recovery actions. Ms. Ridenour was named by her peers as an Oregon Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in Construction Litigation in 2012.

Prior to joining Ball Janik, Ms. Ridenour was an associate at another Portland area law firm where she focused on representing single-family homeowners, condominium and townhome associations, and commercial owners in construction defect related disputes.
After law school, Ms. Ridenour was a judicial clerk to the former Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court, the Honorable Gerald Schroeder. As a judicial clerk, Ms. Ridenour was responsible for reviewing and analyzing both criminal and civil matters for the Idaho Supreme Court.
Ms. Ridenour is a member of Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLs) and of the Multnomah County and Clark County (Washington) bar associations. She is the current treasurer of the University of Oregon School of Law Alumni Association and co-chair of the alumni association’s Portland Mentoring Committee. In addition to her alumni board duties, Ms. Ridenour is a part-time adjunct professor for the University of Oregon School of Law, where she co-teaches a course on Green Construction Law.
