Anthony Blake is an associate in Ball Janik LLP’s Construction and Litigation practice groups. He represents residential and commercial owners in construction defect claims of all types. Mr. Blake is a member of the Oregon State Bar Young Lawyers Section Pro Bono Committee, which encourages lawyers to donate their legal skills and time to those in need. He is also a member of the St. Andrew Legal Clinic Race for Justice Committee, a non-profit that has provided low-cost legal services to low-income Oregon families since 1979. Mr. Blake participates in the Lewis & Clark Mentor Program to provide support and guidance to law students.
Before joining Ball Janik, Mr. Blake served as a law clerk, working on various litigation matters, including analysis of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the impact of administrative dissolution on a LLC’s membership units, and school district negligence. During law school, Mr. Blake served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ann Aiken, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court of Oregon.

Outside of the office, Mr. Blake is a dedicated member of the community and volunteers with several organizations, including St. Andrew Nativity School and Lewis & Clark’s Black Law Student Association. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to audio books, challenging workouts, and music.
